Salary Package
The successful candidate will receive an all-inclusive remuneration package of R1 266 714 per annum (Level 13).
The appointed candidate will be required to enter into a Performance Agreement with the Chief Director: Integrity Management, Forensic Investigations and Security Management.
All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a competency assessment as part of the recruitment and selection process.
Job Purpose
The Director: Integrity Management and Governance is responsible for overseeing and strengthening integrity, ethics, governance, and anti-corruption initiatives within the Mpumalanga Provincial Government.
The role focuses on implementing national and provincial anti-corruption strategies, coordinating stakeholder engagement, promoting ethical conduct, managing governance-related programmes, and ensuring effective risk management and internal controls across departments and municipalities.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7 in:
- Risk Management
- Internal Auditing
- or a related field
- A Certificate in Ethics from a reputable institution, such as The Ethics Institute, will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience at middle or senior managerial level.
- Proven experience in the fields of ethics, integrity, and governance management will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Monitor the implementation of National and/or Provincial Anti-Corruption Strategies.
- Develop and implement provincial anti-corruption and whistle-blowing strategies in consultation with key stakeholders, including provincial departments and municipalities.
- Manage and coordinate stakeholder engagement and interface.
- Facilitate the establishment of relevant Provincial Committees and Forums, and provide secretariat and technical support.
- Conduct education and awareness campaigns on integrity, ethics, and good governance.
- Identify stakeholders requiring training on integrity and ethics-related matters.
- Conduct research on reported anti-corruption cases and develop training materials such as:
- Presentations
- Videos
- Pamphlets and advocacy material
- Conduct workshops, presentations, and advocacy initiatives aimed at promoting ethical conduct and behaviour.
- Facilitate the training of practitioners on ethics and integrity matters.
- Manage the development of annual performance plans and operational plans for the programme.
- Facilitate the achievement of Annual Performance Targets and ensure optimal programme performance.
- Monitor the implementation of risk management strategies for identified risks.
- Oversee and manage the improvement of internal control systems.
- Manage the provision of administrative support services within the directorate.
