Learnership Programme Overview
The Sasol Learnership Programme provides structured occupational training that combines workplace experience with institutional learning. The programme is designed to equip candidates with practical technical skills aligned with industry standards while improving employability within the energy, petrochemical, and engineering sectors.
Successful learners will gain hands-on exposure while completing required theoretical assessments as part of the accredited learnership framework.
Available Learnership Fields
Opportunities are currently available in the following technical disciplines:
- Mechanical Fitter
- Instrumentation
- Electrician
- Chemical Plant Operator
These programmes focus on developing job-ready technical competencies required in industrial operations, maintenance environments, and chemical processing facilities.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a completed National Senior Certificate (Matric) or an equivalent qualification with passes in:
- Mathematics or Technical Mathematics
- English or Business English
- Physical Science or Technical Science
Meeting the minimum academic criteria does not automatically guarantee selection, as candidates may be assessed through additional screening processes.
Core Programme Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be expected to:
- Participate fully in all learnership training activities.
- Successfully complete required assessments and evaluations.
- Attend workplace readiness programmes and practical learning exercises.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork, and professional development standards.
